Our design services are delivered remotely, allowing homeowners and contractors across Canada and the United States to access professional hardscape and outdoor living planning without the need for an in-person visit. Whether you are exploring ideas, refining a concept, or preparing for construction, our tiered design packages provide clarity, confidence, and build-aware direction at every stage.

Package 1:Layout Design Plan

Starting at $560 + HST

A streamlined, concept-focused package designed to establish layout, scale, and overall vision. This option is well suited for homeowners seeking inspiration or early design direction, as well as contractors supporting preliminary planning discussions.

Includes:
• Overhead hardscape layout with approximate dimensions
• Relationship of proposed features to the home and existing site elements
• Identification of primary zones such as patios, walkways, seating areas, and access routes
• Design notes reflecting intended use and spatial flow
• Initial consultation call (up to 45 minutes)

Optional Add-On:
• Material list with estimated quantities available for an additional fee

Well suited for:
• Homeowners exploring design ideas and layout possibilities
• Early-stage planning before budgeting or construction
• Preliminary contractor discussions and scope clarification

(Includes a minimum of 4.5 hours at $125/hour)

Additional time beyond the included minimum is billed in 15-minute increments at $125/hour. All time is task-logged, and any expected overages are discussed before proceeding.

Package 2: Concept 2D Build-Ready Design

Starting at $750 + HST

A complete 2D design package that balances inspiration with practical planning. This tier provides added clarity, material definition, and dimensional accuracy for projects moving toward pricing or installation.

Includes everything in the Essential Hardscape Plan, plus:
• Fully dimensioned 2D design drawing
• Clear labeling of hardscape elements and layout intent
• Material list with estimated quantities for pricing purposes
• Initial consultation call (up to 45 minutes)

Well suited for:
• Homeowners preparing to move forward with installation
• Contractors requiring a clear layout for pricing and coordination
• Projects where material clarity and spatial accuracy are important

Revisions and follow-up calls are welcome.

(Includes a minimum of 6 hours at $125/hour)

Any time beyond the included minimum is billed at $125/hour in 15-minute increments and is communicated in advance.

Package 3: 3D Design & Visualization Pack

Starting at $1,000 + HST

Our most comprehensive design package, offering visual depth and clarity through three-dimensional modeling. This tier is designed to help clients and builders clearly understand the finished space before construction begins.

Includes everything in the Classic Hardscape Design, plus:
• Photorealistic 3D renderings of the proposed design
• Day and night views to illustrate lighting and atmosphere
• Embedded lighting concepts and fixture placement suggestions
• Refined material palette and finish recommendations
• Initial consultation call (up to 45 minutes)

Well suited for:
• Clients seeking strong visual confirmation before building
• Design presentations and approval processes
• Higher-complexity projects where visualization reduces uncertainty

(Includes a minimum of 8 hours at $125/hour)

Additional revisions or coordination beyond the included minimum hours are billed at $125/hour in 15-minute increments, with clear communication before proceeding.

Design Service Agreement & Payment Terms

All design services are governed by a Design Service Agreement. This agreement outlines:

• Scope of work based on the selected design package
• Hourly billing rate and minimum included hours
• Billing increments and task tracking
• Revision and coordination expectations
• Ownership of design deliverables upon full payment
• Limitations of service (conceptual design, non-engineered, non-stamped)

An initial retainer equal to the selected package minimum is required before work begins. Any additional design time beyond the included minimum is billed at $125/hour and communicated in advance.

Final design deliverables are released once the account is remitted in full.

Spencer Roy is the owner of Royal Property Solutions and serves as the lead designer and project coordinator for its hardscape and outdoor living division. As a Techo-Pro Certified contractor with extensive experience executing complex residential and commercial projects, Spencer brings a level of design insight that is firmly rooted in real-world construction standards. His work is informed by a thorough understanding of site conditions, material systems, installation sequencing, and long-term performance considerations. From spatial planning and grade transitions to lighting integration and constructability, each design is developed with precision, discipline, and an appreciation for how details must function beyond the drawing phase.
